If you watch the news or scroll through social media for a while, it’s enough to make you want to scream! Trust me, I know that there is so much going on in the world around you -- let alone in your personal life -- that it can be overwhelming. I’m sure you’ve deeply wondered about life and how to “make it make sense” because you “just wanna be happy.” You’ve searched for ways and means to find joy, but life’s challenges seem to continue to pile one on top of the other.
Faith is simple, but faith is hard. It requires that you simply believe, but it is to believe in something that you can’t see and what does not yet exist. Faith is the “stand-in” for what you want or need until it arrives, and as you know, no one really wants to wait. In addition to waiting, ain’t nobody got time for opposition that seeks to discourage your belief and weaken your faith. Man...does it get any easier??!!
Well…empowerment comes with a renewed perspective when you change your thinking. When you learn to begin to see things through a “Biblical filter”, something (or someone - wink wink) will change. For example:
You’ll internalize things like “the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives in me” (Romans 8:11).
Likewise, you’ll be emboldened to believe that you have limitless authority to have whatever you say (in combination with unwavering faith and patience) (Mark 11:24).
Wisdom is the practical application of acquired knowledge, but you can’t apply what you don’t know. So...what questions do you have that you may need support to explore? What are you struggling with? How might life look and feel differently if your heart’s desires were fulfilled? How will you continue to thrive even if they are not?
Your disciplined thinking and monitored mindset will not only help you to answer these types of questions, but your “Biblical filter” will help you to align with God’s plans and thinking about you so that you can live richly every day!
